Tanzania, Kokoa Kamili
In the green heart of Tanzania, in the fertile Kilombero Valley, the cocoa beans that define the unique character of our chocolate are grown. Here, Koko Kamili works closely with local farmers to produce exceptional cocoa through sustainable practices, fair partnerships, and meticulous care.
After harvest, the transformation begins. The beans are fermented for 5–6 days in handcrafted wooden boxes before being slowly dried on raised drying beds beneath the African sun. This careful process is essential for developing the complex flavors that make cocoa from the Kilombero Valley so distinctive.
The result is a beautifully balanced flavor profile with notes of fruity sweetness, caramel, and subtle earthy undertones. A remarkably versatile cocoa, it shines both on its own and in creative chocolate pairings. For us, this cocoa is more than an ingredient – it is an invitation to experience the rich diversity of Tanzania in every bar.
